Shane Carwin accepted fight with Fedor Emelianenko

Former UFC interim heavyweight champion, Shane Carwin, has informed the fans regarding his return to fighting via a photo of a Rizin FF glove that he has posted on his Twitter account with a caption which said:
“Hey @rizin_PR you are going to need bigger gloves, these do not fit, not even close!”

Carwin tweeted while revealing that his fight is going to be with Emelianenko (36-4) and said the ball is in the Russian’s court.

He said:
“I accepted that fight two weeks ago. Would be an honor. It is up to him.”

Fedor Emelianenko  has always been seeking a recognizable heavyweight opponent and now it seems like he has found one.

Carwin was able to capture the interim heavyweight title with a knockout of Frank Mir at UFC 111. The last time Carwin fought was in 2011, later he retired from MMA after his two-fight losing skid and having injuries.
