The 24 year old Jose Fernandez and his other two friends left this world due to a tragedy of having a boat accident on Sunday off the coast of Florida which made everyone mourn.

After Monday’s emotional ceremony by the Marlins of paying tribute to their teammate Fernandez, once again during Tuesday night’s game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds, another amazing tribute was given to Jose Fernandez by his childhood friend, Aledmys Diaz, with a wristband, baring the pitcher’s No. 16 and one special swing of the bat.

Diaz had just returned from the memorial service on Monday. He also hung a Cardinals-personalized Fernandez jersey to honor his deceased friend on Tuesday.

In the bottom of the 4th inning at Busch Stadium Diaz blasted a grand slam, making everyone emotional once again.
