With Marc Wilmots’ group overcoming Israel 3-1 to complete top of qualifying Group B, Kompany had a lot of motivation to celebrate. He brought his chance with fantastic energy – getting a mic, he involved a huge number of supporters in an immense tune of “The mighty, mighty Belgium”. The amusement was well over, yet despite everything he had the stadium shaking like it’d just barely begun.
