It is surreal. We actually won vs India and don’t just win. We gave them a crushing defeat!
When do we such a moment again? Maybe in 2019?
Let’s savor this and enjoy this victory!
My First WC memories goes back to 83 when most of you where not even born then. Then came 1992 and Captain like Imran Khan led us to a remarkable victory.

Fast forward to 2009 YK Captaincy with the mercurial Afridi playing from the front we won the T20 WC quiet convincingly and had hopes too!

CT 2017. We lost and boy how badly did we lose to India. People lashed out at Sarfaraz and team selection. We were all so negative. (understandably so)
This all changed when we dropped a couple of players (hopefully for good) and took a younger /newer team vs SA
It was a clinical defeat. Hope were rising in the Pakistani fans!

Then came SL. Both teams tried to lose but one was led by Sarfaraz. His street cricket style of cricket along with Aamir’s support won us the game and some luck too. 😉

Semifinals: We blew the unbeaten English Team effortlessly before they even realized what hit them!
All of a sudden 2 of the CT favorites out. England and Australia ( Due to rain Bangladesh abandoned game lucked out)

Now Pakistan had to defeat the Indians. I tell you no one was confident we will win.
Anyone who said so knew in their hearts it was a tough one!
But Allah had a plan.
We lose the toss and thankfully Kohli lets us bat first. I literally went into sajda because I knew in my heart Pakistan may not win chasing in their high pressure cooker of a game!

Then it seemed like some other team took over! Are these our batsmen? Is that Azhar Ali? Rotating strike and playing aggressively? Whoa Fakhar Zaman- this no ball was signal from Allah to settle down and focus! Play the innings of a life time probably and you did Alahmdolillah!

Hafeez who had finally started connecting the ball vs England carried on the momentum and assisted by Babar & Imad.
Is this our batting?? Seriously??
Pakistan made their 2nd highest score at CT (their’s or over all?)

Then came the bowling! I called it the best batting side vs the best bowling side! Kis mein hai kitna dum?

Aamir came on suddenly India were 6 for 2!! With Sharma out of the way God was really looking out for us. A dropped catch of Kohli by Fakhar was compensated by Shadab in the very next ball! Aamir started the attack and then the cracks appeared!
Hasan Ali got rid of Dhoni, Ashwin & Bumrah. JK took Jadeja took and Shadab the mighty Yuvie!!

The wickets crumbling were the best sight in the world for a Pakistani fan!! Na kabil e farmosh!!

At that moment most of us knew time it was time for us to sing Mauka Mauka!!

Sarfaraz led a team of boys and did the unimaginable. Defied all odds. A team that struggled to reach Rank. 8 to qualify for CT has actually won the Tournament!!!! For any team to rise from a crushing defeat and then face your former nemesis is a story short of a miracle. A fairy tale.

Our bowlers Aaamir,Hassan Ali, Amir, JK, Shadab, Rumaan, Fahim we have people on the bench we want to play now!! How amazing it that!

A new beginning has arisen Insha Allah. Pakistan delivered what we always hoped for and got today!

Khuda ki rehmat kehlein? Divine intervention? Ramzan ki barkat? Pakistaniyon ki dua?

Remember Allah helps those who help themselves.

Himmat e Mardan Maddad e Khuda

Thank you Sarfaraz & the boys. For making us fall in love with cricket all over again!! After the first match debacle Sarfaraz proved his captaincy was smart, quick thinking and always made great field changes! We started trusting his decisions! No complains now!

Credit has to be gven where due! The coaches and everyone in the management. Thank you!

Also a note of appreciation to India. If we had not lost this badly we may have not risen so thank you. Respect to Virat Kohli for the post match speech and acknowledging and congratulating us as winners.

Team let us celebrate and rejoice but please lets also stay humble!!

Pakistan Zindabad!!
