Pakistan and India faced each others in final of Junior Asia Cup after topping all the opponents and the match ended with India defeating Pakistan by 6-2.

“I told the players not to worry so much on the results but play good hockey so that fans here will enjoy the game. Yes, I am proud of my boys as they were in control throughout the final,” said a jubilant Indian team head coach, Harendra Singh.

Along with the top position of Men’s Asia Cup, Indian players won 3 other awards too. Harmanpreet took the rank of Top Scorer of Tournament with his 14 goals. Captain Harjeet Singh was Man of the Match and Best Goalkeeper was Vikas Dahiya.

Korea had Japan by 2-1 for the bronze medal and Malaysia literally crushed Bangladesh with 8-0 to finish fifth.

China took down Oman by 7-2 for 7th position at the end of 8th Men’s Junior Asia Cup. Two other awards went to Japan and Malaysia. The Japanese received the Fair Play Award and Malaysian striker Shahril Saabah was the Best Player of the Tournament.
