Playing ‘Pokemon Go’ cost Japan's Kohei Uchimura $4,954Kohei Uchimura, the Japanese Olympic gymnast and a six-time world champion, has been playing today’s popular game ‘Pokemon Go’ but faced consequences of playing a game later by receiving a huge roaming bill .

Uchimura was surprised to get a 500,000 yen ($4,954) mobile phone bill just for playing this game.

According to Kyodo news agency, teammate Kenzo Shirai said on Tuesday:

“He looked dead at the team meal that day.”

But Uchimura got lucky as his Japanese carrier service reduced the bill to a 3,000 yen (around $30) daily all-you-can-use contract.

Uchimura said:

“I really lucked out.”

In the men’s all-around competition, Uchimura is the gold medalist. He says, he is just as committed to Japan team gold in Rio de Janeiro as the personal title.

Nikkan Sports newspaper said:

“Uchimura may not get any Pokemon, but he will surely get gold.”
