We talked about how Cricket is more than just another game for Pakistanis. International cricket is on the way back home to Pakistan and the event is equally celebrated by everyone including the special people.
In first match after 6 years, Ramiz Raja introduced him during the match as a person who has seen his entire cricket career. Sheraz despite his condition visited Qaddafi Stadium for every International Match since 1972.
In 2nd ODI, the ground truly celebrated his efforts by making him a special guest of presentation, where he presented Man of the Match award to winning team’s captain Azhar Ali.
2. Nasir Iqbal, A polio victim and die-heart fan of Shahid Afridi managed to reach Qaddafi Stadium from Kharian after spending Rs.1000 that he saved just for this day, to be at ground and to watch Afridi play live.
He was stopped on the gate because he didn’t have ticket with him, but hearing his inspiring story, guards guided him in. #CricketComesHome is brining the best out of us.
3. He maybe nameless to us but he is equally special in that ground, with other spectators cheering for Pakistan and Peace.
There will be many others, which the eye of camera must have missed, we pay respect to them all for their visit to stadium for the big games.
